The prime reason for operating a school is to provide Education.  It is this Education that will empower the young generation and open for them opportunities for a meaningful future.  The knowledge these children acquire will build their capacity to interface with realities of life.  It also complements on other etiquettes of life in the communities. This is justified by the statement made by the South African political icon; Nelson Mandela who contended that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”

It is a holistic Education given to the children who get the opportunity of joining Kisoro Vision School.  There is classroom academics (book knowledge) that is imparted in the children and then other virtues of life.  This goes along with the curriculum drawn by the ministry of Education, Sports and Technology.  The National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) has the preserve of lining up subjects to be taught in Schools at all levels.  It is this that Kisoro Vision School follows and the subjects taught at both levels (O’ level and A’ level) are given here below.

Kisoro Vision S.S has therefore made a great realization of the holistic education where students’ latent are explored like in sports, clubs, hands on activities, home management and many others.

Students have a pivotal role of influencing and determining their future.  They can do this if they make the rightful choice.  The school does the molding and shaping of the learners who are very ready for this service in the school.  To realize this, the school and children do set goals as a way of focusing at their future life in perspective.  The students pursue this with intensity and obsession.

To the school, this continued excellence in academics and the comprehensive knowledge acquired here, has immensely and uniquely contributed to the development of Kisoro District and the country at large.  Therefore, this school’s performance has truly given the students and the District a new twist, shape and positive hope for the future.

To have a vibrant and continued academic excellence, discipline is the core.  So this is greatly emphasized.  Enforcing discipline is through guidance and counseling, reprimand, redemptive punishments and others which brings children to the learning order.

The boost for academic excellence has been made possible by stocking the computer lab with sufficient computers and internet. This was made possible by the support given by individuals like.  The school Library in the three storeyed house (Technology House) which is also well stocked provides a variety of reading materials and a conducive spacious reading room.  Books of all levels, for science and arts subjects are available and in plenty.

For the science Labs, each science subject has its own science room like, Biology lab, Chemistry lab, Physics lab and Agriculture lab, all of them very well equipped with lab apparatus (Lab. Equipment’s), have propelled the school to high levels of academics performance; especially in science subjects

The learning environment in the very modern and beautiful classrooms in the four storeyed building Called “Elia Academic building” provides a further opportunity for a settled and comfortable mind for one to concentrate on academics.   This building has 28 class rooms which students call “Academic theatre rooms”.  The rooms are descent and well-furnished to give a settled heart for putting students’ mind in books.

Once again, to build a relaxed mind and giving conducive and fresh atmosphere for resting; thus giving way for consumption of fresh academic material in class, the accommodation is attractive. Accommodation places are given names of praises as “Paradise Zone (Girls) then for boys “Good life house”.

The school has a vibrant staff both teaching and non-teaching staff. The teaching staff is highly qualified, experienced and has interest to serve.  There is a total of 48 substantive teaching staff of whom 31 are degree holders in different disciplines. Total staff members are 65 of whom 17 are non-teaching staff. This explains why the school has always performed excellently in academics and other virtue learnt in school.
